Catholic Charities Funding

How We Support Member Agencies’ Ability To Meet The Needs Of Many

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Toronto meets ongoing and emerging need through support of its member agencies. Catholic Charities’ funding is derived primarily from ShareLife, the fundraising initiative of the Archdiocese of Toronto.

Catholic Charities is responsible for the allocation of funds to its member agencies. There are 21 member agencies; most receive some funding from Catholic Charities. A few agencies are not funded because they receive sufficient funding from other sources.

Catholic Charities allocates one-time grants to non-member agencies for projects that meet with Catholic Charities’ service priorities. Catholic Charities also receives bequests and donations that are used to assist member agencies to meet emerging needs with special projects as well as to provide one-time grants to non-member agencies.
