Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Toronto provides leadership, supports social services, and advocacy to address ongoing and emerging needs in the community. At its core is Catholic Social Teaching, which focuses on the poor and marginalized, and urges all of us to build a just society and safeguard human dignity.

They provide services and outreach through programs that meet current and emerging needs in the community.

Catholic Charities' approach to membership involves considering agencies that satisfy the criteria outlined below:

  • Organized under the governance of a voluntary Board of Directors

  • Provide effective direct social, health, community or related services to meet an identified need in a specific geographic area of the Archdiocese

  • Ensure service provided is consistent with the pastoral, moral and social teachings of the Catholic Church; and financially viable
